4worldlovers: My works could be described as a mirage of abstract ideas, often inspired by nature, and practical solutions. I have created a series of ceramic sculptures: Phyllamphorae. It was an answer to a challenge: how to, in a controlled way, establish naturally organical forms? During this project I have made up my own techniques of creating forms, textured and colourings in pottery. This has also given me the confidence to broaden the limits of this fantastic material.

While some plates, cups, bowls and vases are decorated with simple black brush stroke, others are speckled with tiny dots or blots creating a colourful gradient. Another characteristics of my dinnerware and decor is a handmade golden finish, delicately brushed on the glazed surface. The 24k gold finish is fired in 700 Celsius degrees in order to firmly bind with the glaze for firm and long lasting effect.
